Isote, Queen of North Bessex (?812- winter 862) was Queen of North Bessex as the wife of Ealstan II . Upon her husband's death in 845, she had her son Ealstan III crowned as King.


Isote was born into a Frankish family in the year 812. 

Marriage & IssueEdit

She married Ealstan II and gave birth to their son, Ealstan III in 833.

Death & LegacyEdit

Isote died in 862. She is mentioned in many of Jackabee Templeton's poems, the most famous, being "Isote, Queen of Hearts". In the story, "Evermore" by Orwill Bachman, Isote is portrayed as the antagonist.
